This cross-sectional study aimed to examine the differencesinliving conditions, behavioral healthand reproductive health among women living in two different types of slums in northern India. A house-to-house survey of randomly selected women 18 andolder living in RajivColony (concrete housing) and hutments near Mansa Devi complex in Haryana, Indiawas conducted between October2016and November 2016. A descriptive analysis was performed using statistical software SAS 9.3. Of the 134 participants surveyedfor this study,68 livedinRajiv Colony and 66 lived in the Hutments near Mansa Devi Complex. A majority of participants in both types of slums sought care from fake medical practitioners. Significant differences were found inbehavioralhealth,re-productive health,and living conditionsof participantsdepending on wherethey lived.There is a need for sanita-tionawarenessand hygiene educationamong slum dwellersin northern India. Future studies should consider evaluatingknowledgeand perception of contraceptionuseamong slum dwellers.
